navy button embellishment |
This is a close-up of one mixed media jar I repurposed for
marker containment upon my desk.
before |
Cleaned peanut butter jars awaiting transformation.
during |
Aging paper for "labels", done with various inks, glaze
and crumpling action.
after |
By adding lace and ribbon and buttons, each with some red
in them and aging/staining of paper, 3 different jars become
a cohesive set.

old milk bottle cap with red button |
Do you have a favorite? The close-up of milk cap jar
makes me think of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer.

I am partial to the anchor one because my
Dad was a Navy veteran AND I've been trying to use
this button for years!
Cute idea. Love repurposing!
ReplyDeleteHi Donna,
ReplyDeleteLove them all! So clever. I think I like the Navy button one the best.
I'm torn between the Navy button and the red button on the yo yo.
ReplyDeleteNavy button because Dad was Navy and yo yo because I quilt and I like red. Great job repurposing stuff. Love Mom
Hi Donna,
ReplyDeleteSo clever and crafty! I am glad you share! I love the Navy button...(hubby is in the Navy) ;D
Thanks for your kind comments ladies. They were so much fun and easy to do! Peace
ReplyDeleteOh, Donna, what a great idea! I think what I really like about this project is that not only did you repurpose something, but you made it into a set, just by using the same color. They are all great for me. Loving your creative mind!
ReplyDeleteSo hey are you going to make me a bunch of those or what? They are awesome!
ReplyDeleteyeah, so cute!
