A peek inside my art journal

Be where you art was a phrase that popped into my head, so I went with it.

Exploring black and white and textures with this spread.  I used various sheet rock and some bandaging tapes on black page and a fresh coat of white gesso over right page which allowed some colors to show but also united some disparate items.

Be where YOU ART spread

In this close up a variety of textures and colors can be seen, as well as the date stamped into lighter color of the "B".

The snowy night page was done with homemade rubber stamps, white gel pen, inks and embossing powders of white and silver sparkle.  I'd made quite a few cut paper snowflakes for my January challenge (#snowflakes2016) and decided to try an art journal page instead.

The right hand page was a mono print bound into this junque journal with lots of other odd papers.

A friend shared this phrase on Facebook and I just love it :)

Inhale PEACE exhale gratitude...

The seated figure is an embossed image of another homemade rubber stamp.

I really like how you can see peace sign branches through the stamped image!

Up last is this macro image of the sparkling snowflake page.  I'm so pleased that the textures, colors and sparkle can be seen in this photo!

  1. I love everything, but especially your stamps. Very nice.

  2. Visiting from AJED-really beautiful pages! Love the 'breathe' phrase!

  3. The texture in your pages are great. I just love texture, fun to look at and to touch. I think that is why I like mixed media, the texture. Also the mess it makes while creating ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
